Pyrénées Orientales: Les Aspres
This beautiful creation of the Marina's artists team is made after an old stone Mas in les Asprès on 1 hectare of land, that was sold by my colleague James (who happens to be on a roll - or selling like crazy if you like- you will see many more paintings of houses from his area "the 66" in September).Les Asprès is 30 minutes from Céret and an hour from Perpignan and this stone farmhouse has amazing views across the mountains beyond Fort Belle Guarde at Perthus on the Spanish border. The house uses water from it's own spring and the former owners have been almost self sufficient with vegetables from their garden.
Apart from the lovely mas itself, there is a lovely summer house under a weeping willow in the garden, a great spot to enjoy BBQs with seating around an old millstone table. There is also an old agricultural building, large enough to make into a gite, or which could be rebuilt as a house.
The countryside abounds with natural produce - herbs, fruit and mushrooms. An excellent home with much development potential, located in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. We wish the new owners all the happiness in the world with their beautiful new property!

The other restaurants have their tables outside in the streets. Everybody at the long tables, is eating, drinking, talking to each other (hilarious as this is in many many different languages) and having a good time.
