Argeles

Filed under: General — Marina @ 10:19 pm
RHF International's James Edgecombe from the Pyrénées Orientales has done another great deal - in fact he sold his second beach house in Argeles! On the painting from the Marina Artists' team that he gave away to the new owners you can clearly see that this is a true beach house with a splendid view on the beach! I am told that there are numerous little rocky creeks for scuba diving and that in Argeles windsurfing and surfing are better than anywhere else : the wind - the Tramontane - makes it really challenging! And if you're not into water sports - a brisk walk along the wide sandy beach is another possibility: there's 7 kilometres of it! For those of you who are not into any sports, you'll have to make do with sitting in the sun on one of the many terraces, sipping a nice strong espresso or a rosé - or another drink. Interested in the area? Contact James, through the RHF site

Cap d’Antibes II

Filed under: General — Marina @ 10:30 pm
Over 2000 years ago the the site of Antibes was called "the jewel of the Côte d'Azur". And still Antibes and Cap d'Antibes are magical places to walk, shop, sunbathe, eat and drink - and that could be great for a holiday, but imagine that you actually lived there and had all that every day of the year... Well, you can! Riviera Home Finder's Chris Davenport just sold another house with a view in Cap d'Antibes - of which the Marina artist's team made a picture - and he has many more in stock! Just go to our website and have a look at the fabulous properties we have for sale...

Sault

Filed under: General — Marina @ 10:21 pm
Our dear colleague Philippe just sold his first property, a lovely house in the village of Sault.
The watercolour painting that he gave away at the notary's office, as RHF agents always do, was also a first, for a new painter in the Marina's Artist's team: Cathie. As you can see she's very talented and I'm sure the new owners as well as the former owners will be delighted!Sault is a small village in the Vaucluse (Provence) with a population of just over a thousand people... It is one of the major stages of the "Road of the Lavender" (a discovery track organized around distilleries, fields of lavender and activities related to lavender).

Callian

Filed under: General — Marina @ 10:17 pm
Callian is a lovely medieval hill-top village in the Var. Callian is older than medieval: it is first mentioned in the 1st century, as part of the logistic base of Caesar's legions. Apparently it was a rather important rural group settlement, around a sanctuary of "our Lady of Rose" (the chapel is the most ancient building of the village and can be visited). In 1249, Callian appears as "castrum" in the documents, but after the big plague of 1348, followed by the famine of 1364, it was completely deserted by its inhabitants. In the 15th century it emerged again and has florished since then.
Callian has a very Provençal and authentic atmosphere, exactly what you expect from such a lovely, old, historic place, but it also lies close to the beautiful lake of Saint Cassien, and therefore offers the possibility to sail, fish and swim.

In the nicest residential area of Callian, my RHF colleague and friend Karin has a beautiful newly built villa for sale that has everything you can wish for. Apart from the great location, it has the combination of the quiet Provençal area with all possibilities to go out for sports, shopping, great food and culture. And it is roomy - 260m², built with the best quality fittings and a landscaped garden of 5065m² with a terrific pool, but also a romantic, old stone country shed on it. The villa is south facing (towards the famous 5 star golf resort Terre Blanche) and has a fully equipped Siemens kitchen and a large living room with Boley fireplace. It has 4 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. It doesn't need work, you can start enjoying the good life as soon as you enter the door... And all that for € 1,250,000...
